I like options, I like security, and I like power. With these wants, I knew at a very early age that I would enter the business and thus I attended a college that specializes in the subject. In my first position out of school, I was hired by Dunhill Equities as a cold-caller. After several weeks of being hung up on by angry prospects, I decided that this career path would not lead me to success.
I then moved within the firm to a position as a sales assistant. While this was by no means my dream job, I learned a tremendous amount about business, and I gained useful exposure to the world of finance. Unfortunately, the company hit a period of instability, and after ten months I transferred with my boss to Coleman & Company.
Thirteen months later, that company also began to fail, and I began to search for another path to advancement. With two strikes against me, I hit a home run and was hired by Sanford Bernstein into a challenging job with a limitless opportunity for growth.
After almost three years at Bernstein, I am once again seeking career advancement. My education and work experience have provided me with an excellent introduction to business, and they have sparked my interest in finance. Taking into consideration my foundation and my interests, graduate business school is the next logical step.
At this point in my life, I consider a Stern MBA to be necessary since I need to gain a broader understanding of finance and to sharpen my analytical skills in order to be successful in corporate finance. Stern’s MBA program will allow me to concentrate on finance, strengthen my global business perspective, and provide me with the opportunity to study with and learn from people with varied backgrounds. The school’s location in the financial capital of the world and in one of the most diverse cities in the world also suits me perfectly.
Aside from advancing my career, I would also like to develop personally. In college, I did not join many clubs or organizations, and I did not participate in sports. Instead, I spent all my time studying, working, or dealing with family issues.
Having been away from home and living in New York City for four years, I feel the need to make a name for myself and to develop a meaningful social life. I want to take advantage of the many benefits that extracurricular activities offer, and I want to be involved in the Stern community.
Upon graduation from the Stern School, I will seek a position as an associate within the corporate finance department of a large, Wall Street, investment-banking firm. In three to five years, once I have become adept in financial analyses, drafting prospectuses, preparing business presentations, and other financial advisory work, I will move into a senior associate position.
Here I will develop my abilities to anticipate client needs and to engineer solutions that address these needs. In approximately 10 years, I will have the experience necessary to take on upper-level management responsibilities.
Ever since I came to understand what I would like to be when I grow up, I dreamt to become an architect. The way I interpreted this field was like a child’s play, but I guess I was wrong. Many experiences within the past thirteen years have changed my way of looking at the future. These experiences were interesting enough to change me as a person. The experience of working at the hospital and interviewing a doctor impacted me in the way I used to look at the future.
I never dreamt of becoming a doctor, until I actually got a chance during my high school year to go and interview a doctor and work at a hospital for one summer. It was ironic that I wanted to go into the field of architecture when I liked biology and I hated math. The doctor was a great help in making me understand what the field is like.
The interview that I did was for a class project. Besides the doctor, the hospital that I worked at also changed the way I looked at my future. I worked at the hospital close to my house, where I volunteered to work. The first week was so boring, and it didn’t feel good looking at the people that checked in the hospital. Some of these people who checked in had lost arms or broken legs or had big stabs through their ribcages. As the days went by, the way these doctors deal with the situations started to get interesting and I thought these measures were astounding.
The doctors at the Operation Room are the calmest people I have seen in my entire life. The way did the eye surgery on a 65-year-old man was outstanding, I was amazed for a while. I think my capability of handling one of these situations is equivalent to these doctors once I trained in one of these situations. One night I dreamt of myself as becoming a doctor and helping the poor and the rich.
From that day onwards I made a final decision to work hard and try to become a successful doctor. I thank the doctor and all the personnel in the hospital who helped me make the right choice in choosing the right field for my future. This field I think shall be a prospect to my future.
Don’t you ever wish that you could set your own future? Of course, you do! If everyone could set their own future everyone would be a billionaire. But you can¡t and that¡s how life is. I have many different futures that I want for myself self depending on what happens after college. So if I could set my own future this is how I would like it to beK.
You’re probably wondering why everything depends on what happens after college. First, let’s talk about college. Since I`m going to Montreal, Canada for sure, I want to be accepted in either Concordia or Mcgill and major in graphic design.
Now when I graduate with a degree I¡d directly start working as either an exterior car designer or a motorcycle designer. But what I really want to do is continue music with the band that I’ve been playing with since sixth grade (Temple of Life) with Michael Ibrahim and Nomi Shah.
Once I get a job in designing, I would straight away try to meet up with Michael and Nomi. Since Nomi and I would already be living in the same area it would be easy to meet up, but the hard thing is meeting with Michael who would be living in California.
If we end up together again Im sure wed record some songs and try to get a record deal. And once we get a good record deal and start professionally recording and selling records then Id quit my job in designing but Id sill my have my degree just in case we don’t become that famous.
Now, if we don’t end up starting the band again, then, I`d stay designing and live a normal life in an American or European company. I really want to design a car or motorcycle which would be so ingenious that it would create an evolution for cars or motorcycles all over the world. I would get paid millions for my design and I would be rich! I can see it right now ƒüƒý! I also want to get married to a woman that I love and that loves me, not my money.
It is hard to think about my own personal future when I have not experienced much of life. There are so many paths I could take. I don’t know what direction I will be heading in tomorrow or if my mind will change the next day or the day after. I can only hope that I make wise and careful decisions about my life. Every choice I make affects my future. I am confident that I have a bright future and I am on my way to a better life.
I do not know what the future will bring but I know what my goals and ambitions are. Hopefully, everything I want to achieve will be in my future, but for now, I will work hard to get closer to achieving those goals. See more: essays about my goals for the future. One goal I definitely see in my future is graduating from college.
As of right now, I am not sure what I want to do with my education or what I would like to major in but I am confident that I will graduate from college with a degree. Today, it’s hard to succeed and live comfortably without a college degree.
I have made my education a top priority and fully intend on fulfilling my goal of graduating. In high school, I was an average student. Throughout college, I want to be a great student. An average is no longer an option. I see myself graduating from college with honors and awards.
In the future, a job that pays very well and has good benefits would be very nice. Not only do I want good pay, but I would also like to enjoy whatever I decide to do. Many people have careers that they do not enjoy. In my future I see myself enjoying my job. I would like to have a long-term career, not a short-term job. I think having a good stable career is an important factor when trying to build a life for myself.
A stable job will ensure that I have all the luxuries I want in life without a struggle. A career that I love is one of the most important parts of my future. One career that I would love to see in my future is a business owner. I would like to own a bridal boutique in a big city. I could see myself having a bridal boutique for the rest of my life. Weddings are such a happy occasion and it is nice to make a momentous part of someone’s life even more special with the perfect dress.
In addition to a college education and a wonderful career, I would like to see a supportive family in my future. To most women, a husband and a few children seem to like the perfect family. For me, children are not the key to a perfect family.
Every person starts off with a family. As people grow older they decide to expand their families. In my future a see a wonderful and supportive family, but maybe not so expanded. I can see a nice husband in my future, but this part of my life will come after my college graduation and my successful career.
Traveling has always been a passion of mine. After traveling to Europe in 2009, I knew from that point on that traveling would definitely be an important part of my future. I would like to go to other places besides Europe, especially places in Asia.
Asia is such a beautiful continent and I would hate if traveling to such a beautiful place were not in my future. I believe traveling the world is a great way to experience life and other cultures and people. I want my future to be full of memories and unforgettable experiences. I believe traveling the world will give me unique and wonderful memories.
Although I do not know what tomorrow will bring. I hope that every day is an adventure and that my future will be full of excitement and love. All I can do now is focus on today and plan for tomorrow. My future depends on my decisions and life experiences and I can’t wait to see what my future has in store for me.
I’ve only been alive for about nineteen years, and it will be only several more months until I finally spend two complete decades revolving around the sun. My current stage of life is really interesting to me; I’m old enough to realize that I had many life-changing moments turn me into the person I am now. But I also know that there is so much more that I could do and that I could become an even different person in the next ten years.
I’m slowly growing into an independent, but I’m still trying to explore the world around me, and at times, I still feel a lot like a juvenile. I changed a lot, though. As a five-year-old in New York City, I dreamt of working in construction. Now, here I am, undergoing a business degree at a college in Minnesota.
People always taught me to never take life for granted, and I still follow that lesson to this day. Looking back at my earliest memories, I was always fond of seeing the kid I once was. But seeing myself transform into young adulthood is an experience that I will never forget.
The first place I remembered living in was a small, two-bedroom apartment in New York City. I was the fourth child in an already large family. Both of my parents were from Somalia, and like most Somalis, they loved having a full house.
During my next five years, I would see multiple relatives moving in and out of our apartments, including aunts, uncles, and my maternal grandmother. And if that weren’t enough, my parents would decide to have two more kids.
My personal interests are reading, children, dogs, and cats. I enjoy reading books, especially fantasy books because reading fantasy books make me feel like I’m in the story. Another thing I enjoy is taking care of children, I love to play with them, talk to them, and especially take care of them because I naturally love kids.
As I grew up I loved kids even more especially because I have a big family with a lot of kids. The last thing that I enjoy is dogs and cats because my parents surrounded me with lots of dogs and cats making me love them so much. I wanted to keep every dog and cat I can find and I would call them my babies. My work values are friendship, companionship, family, personal integrity, and moral courage.
I value friendship and companionship because I want people to support me and love me for who I am but correct me if I’m wrong, like what my friends do now. I also value family because my family takes care of me and loves me for me, so when they get old I want to take care of them like how they took care of me. I value integrity and courage because I don’t want to do anything bad that will break my honor or break someone’s trust and I value courage because I believe if you really believe in something or someone you should do it with no fear.
My multiple skills are understanding people, taking care of kids, and taking care of animals. I understand people very well by putting myself in their shoes or asking questions. I take care of kids well because of my family teaching me how to take care of them. I take care of animals(dogs and cats) well from watching my parents taking care of them.
The first career I’m interested in is being a teacher, a preschool teacher because for my interests and skills I love to take care of kids, talk to them, and play with them. For my values, I value friendship so I teach them how to make friends and how to support each other. The work environment for preschool teachers is usually in public schools, private schools, child day care services, and sometimes family services.
Preschool teachers teach kids under 5 years old, who have not been to kindergarten yet, about language, vocabulary, social skills, colors, shapes, letters, and numbers. The training that they need experiences in childcare like a childcare worker or teaching assistant. The skills that they need are communication skills, interpersonal skills, organizational skills, creativity, patience, physical stamina. Preschool teachers need an associate’s or a bachelor’s degree and they get paid $28,990 per year.
You finally graduated high school! This is a huge accomplishment as in the last few years you thought this would be the most formidable task. Summer is just around the corner and you’re finally heading off to university and taking on many responsibilities.
I know it seems extremely stressful but just enjoy life as much as you can. As for me, I am living life. Highschool is exactly what I expected, I get so much freedom and I have some of the most astonishing friends.
My Smart goal for this year is to get better at time management. I have never really been good at managing my time, but it’s very important. If I don’t get better at time-management, it can really affect me in a very negative way. Have you gotten much better at time management, after all these years? As for my future goals, I want to become an orthodontist.
At the age of fourteen, I knew I was destined to be an orthodontist. Are you still thinking of being an orthodontist, or have you changed your mind? The university of my dreams is McMaster University, and I want to major in Biology. As for change, I think I am going to change both physically and mentally.
My moral compasses will probably change in a very positive way and I will also have a better understanding of who I am and my future goals. An accomplishment I would like to successfully accomplish is getting honor roll in all four years of high school.
I know it probably seems impossible but I hope you’re laughing at this letter as you have gotten honor roll for all four years. I am not 100% sure if I can accomplish this goal, but I am very determined and dedicated to getting honor roll.
Anyways, I would like to send this letter by saying, I am extremely proud of who you’re becoming. You started off as a young girl not really knowing what she was destined to be, but now you’re an adult heading off to university in a few months and chasing your dreams.
I know it seems extremely stressful but never look back, life has just begun and it’s time for you to change the world. It may be a slow process, but quitting will never speed it up. Life will only begin after you have come to an end to your comfort zone, so take risks and enjoy life to the fullest.

Yes, you should definitely use Thomas Edison in your essay, and talk about the fact that even though it took Edison 10,000 tries he never gave up. He had the determination and the self-discipline to continue even though he knew his next try could again lead to failure.
Edison’s perseverance is an example to us all about how much we can accomplish if we don’t give up. He is an important role model to America for his effort in working through and solving a complicated problem with perseverance.
Centuries ago there were only a few jobs: people were farmers, bakers, butchers, or salesmen. Today there are thousands of different kinds of jobs, and new ones are constantly appearing. And the problem of choosing the future profession has always been a very important and difficult matter because it determines our future life in many ways. It is one of the most important decisions for every person.
The end of school is the start of our independent life and the beginning of the most serious examination we have passed. In order to do well in this examination, it is necessary to choose the right road in life which will help us best to live and work for our own good and for the benefit of our country. Many broad ways will open before the pupils when they leave secondary school.
I’ll give you something to work with and perhaps some ideas that you can use. These extracts are from an Honours degree and will require paraphrasing if you use it. I’ve even given you a couple of citations already, which might help you. The first part is an opening to the dissertation and not a thesis statement. Hope you can find some of this useful and get you off to a flying start. REMEMBER – Paraphrase.
‘Schooling can take many forms and includes knowledge acquired through education and training, as well as know-how gained by typical day to day experiences. Learning is the key not just to survival but also to adaptation, and in the world in which we live with technology developing at such high speed, it is increasingly difficult to keep up-to-date with the advances. Edification is therefore vital in upgrading knowledge.
Various teaching methods have appeared over the millennia in an attempt to increase the population’s knowledge base, ranging from traditional to modern methods, some of which are ad hoc though equally valid.
Comprising the 3Rs, Reading; Rating, and Rithmatic and learning by repetition were effective but now recognized as unimaginative methods that did not adopt the mind to develop. This method of teaching was always considered to be beyond question and was categorized as ‘subjects were dictated by knowledge’, ‘children were categorized by their grades’ and ‘exam results dictated one’s achievements’. (Papert. 1993)
This form of schooling continued until 1907 when Maria’s clean slate’ Montessori changed the way of teaching the curriculum, making it more suitable for developing minds and opening the way for other educational approaches.
