I wonder what I would do if I could change the world. Would I stop world hunger, make world peace, or something different altogether? Well…I’d prefer to combine all three.
Most people think world peace is a great idea. I agree, but I like to take it up a notch.
So if I could change the world, this is what I would do:
- Guns will turn into carrots as soon as they are fired.
- Grenades turn into apples just before the explosion.
- Bombs turn into watermelons just before impact.
- This is just the first dish I’m thinking of serving.
The nuclear reactors in the USA would turn into giant tubes of tomato sauce. All the Middle eastern tanks would turn to bread, that roll into circle bases. The landmines in Pakistan would turn into jalapenos as soon as they are activated. All the German air force would be in trouble because as soon as the planes took off, they became anchovies.
Aussie Missile Jeeps would turn into pineapples and their missiles would turn into sausages. The swords of the Japanese samurai would turn into long, juicy spears of capsicum. All of the bricks on the military walls throughout the world would start turning into olives, making the walls collapse. All of the Russian submarines would turn into fried chicken. All remaining military supplies would be turned into shredded cheese to top it all off.
Think about that! Once all the weapons and military supplies were turned into food, no one in Africa would be starving anymore! And when there are no more weapons, the entire world is at peace! But that isn’t where my story ends…
Once everyone realizes what has happened, they will bring all the food bits to the middle-east and store them in large metal containers.
As I said earlier, Most people think world peace is a great idea. And yes, I do like to take it up a notch. Some of you may know what this was all leading up to, others won’t. But at the end of the day, the entire world would come together not only to make world peace!
If this were a movie, there would be superheroes to change the world. But this is reality and it’s up to me. A whole bunch of things is happening around the world. But do you pay attention to what is happening TO our world? Our world is going chaos with this ” end of the world” stuff. EARTH IS HERE TO STAY. The only thing that’s affecting the world is us, the people. We are the ones causing violence by killing each other and bringing hate to another. Every day our loved ones are passing away for no reason.
I can give you a whole list of things that are happening. Right now, there are kids dying of hunger. There are people all over the world waking up to a day of misery. There are innocent children getting raped and killed. Wives can’t concentrate on what they’re doing because of the pain they feel from the abuse that they receive from their husbands.
Last night, at least one family has experienced abuse from a drunk man. Another thing is drunk people causing car crashes & getting into accidents causing people’s bodies to rip apart & making them die a painful death. Not only people are experiencing these things, but so are animals. There are dogs out there getting killed in gambled fights for money and entertainment. Female dogs are getting forced to breed and are getting abused while doing it. Somewhere in the world, animals are feeding on one another.
Hard-working men and women are getting killed & robbed for the money they make. Teenagers are trying so hard to commit suicide because of all the hate & bullying they receive. Lovers are splitting apart & are causing physical pain so they can forget about the heartbreak. Children are sneaking out & running away while their parents are laughing about the abuse they give to their children. People in other countries are in a war and watching their loved ones dying from all the bombs & explosions. Everywhere someone is experiencing some sort of pain caused by another person.
What are these people and creatures doing to deserve this? NOTHING, RIGHT? Nobody really pays attention to all the negative things that are happening to our world. Nobody should have to go through this life and live like this. People are supposed to develop peace with each other & help each other out. Not murder each other & bring hate on one another. My opinion is that everybody should be treated fairly. People should receive serious consequences for all this violence they bring to our world. There’s not much that I can do to stop everybody’s actions. But I can control my own actions.
Today, right now, I pledge to bring peace to my school, my community, my city, & most importantly, OUR WORLD. Thank you…
Life is the most complicated thing imaginable. From the complex Human body to the smallest unit of life, the atom. From events that change the world to time-wasting responsibility. The easiest thing to say as to what I would like to change in life would be all the bad things. It would not be only the easiest but what’s expected from everyone. Heroes of the world didn’t accomplish all they accomplished in their lives by doing whats wrestling
The topic I have chosen to write about is the world of professional wrestling.
My goal is to persuade the reader that there is more to the wrestling industry … expected. They followed their own paths, through good and bad times they stuck through to make the world what it is today. Which brings me to my decision of what I would change in life. Nothing. Nothing should be changed. Could you imagine what your life would be like without the events you regret the most not happening? For example, a few years back I fell off my bike and broke a permanent tooth in half. King Of Handcuffs
King of Handcuffs
The man known worldwide as the most famous magician of all time, Harry Houdini, was born March 24, 1874, in Budapest. Although Houdini often claimed to … I went to the dentist that afternoon and he told me there was nothing he could do but cement a cap on it that looks very similar to my real tooth. If I had a choice to go back and change this, I wouldn’t. The things I learned from this, the experience soaked in from just falling off my bike, was incredible. My Caution about any dangerous situation doubled. I don’t take the little things like having a climatic change
I. SUMMARY: This paper looks at the controversial issue of climatic change. In particular, it develops the question of if and why earth’s climate is changing? The roles … a real tooth for granted. So many things were learned by me and others from a bad happening, I would never want that taken away from me. Imagine a world with a non-existent Hitler. Wonderful you would think, right?
In today’s society there is so much that I want to change about the world but just don’t have the means or power to do so. So when asked what I would change about the world I had to think very hard about which ones I thought were the most important.
The problems that I found were the most important were the ones that had a rising effect in our society today. The problems that I would change about the world if I could are prejudice, the fear of war and the pollution humans create on Earth. I will discuss these problems and some ways that we can start to take a step towards change for the better in our world.
I think people need to become more aware of the damaging being done and the money that is being spent towards these horrible wars that only bring pain and sorrow. It is hard to make a change with war as it is something that everyday people can not control but there are a few simple things you can do to become involved. A major step is to become involved in today’s politics and be aware of who you are voting for. A way to help those being affected by war is to donate any money, old clothes, toys, and perishable food to any major organization.
Major organizations create safe spaces for children to go and help children get a start in going back to school. For more information on what you can do to help visit www.warchild.org. Today the Earth and many of its contents, thanks in large part to humans, is deteriorating and it has been for quite a time now. It is overwhelmingly populated with both ignorant and lazy people.
In return, not much is being done to prevent this deterioration. Pollution caused by humans and their inventions causes a major dilemma. Automobile exhaust fumes and factory pollutants are only a couple of the impurities causing damaging effects to the ozone layer and atmosphere. We depend on the ozone to defend us from harmful UV rays. Finally, we have a major impact on the degeneration of natural resources. Millions of gallons of oil, coal, and other…
There are many things that should be changed about the world. There should be less emphasis on grades. There should be education, housing, healthcare for all. There should be better treatment of animals. There should be more openness towards ideas that conflict our own. We should end global warming, crime, war, racism, terrorism, cancer, pollution, poverty, climate change, and more. Those are all things that many people would change about the world but I want everyone to think bigger. Why are there so many problems in our world today? One word: human greed.
If I could change one thing about the world, I would eliminate human greed. Human greed is at the core of most of our world’s biggest problems. Greed is like a newborn seed that grows into a poisonous vine, eventually dominating the human soul like an infectious disease, spreading to every corner of society. Ultimately, blinding us from the truth.
We refused to see the repercussions of pollution. Our greed blinded us from this reality. Global warming exists because of our greed. We were greedy and wanted more goods so we built more factories. We saw coal as a cheap and effective energy source therefore our factories started using coal which creates pollution. Pollution, in turn, causes global warming. The same goes for war. Leaders of countries are greedy and want more for their countries, from that greed arises war.
Instead of being greedy, we should all be more kind and caring towards others. Wait, but isn’t it human nature to be greedy? Yes. We are all greedy and that is something that might never be changed but the problem is that we all view being greedy as something normal and good when in fact, greed is anything but good.
At school, I suffered from loneliness. Before entering middle school, I had a few friends, and generally speaking, I was happy but after entering middle school, I became an outcast in my grade. Nobody understood me and wanted to talk to me. Why? Because I wasn’t approachable. I barely socialized and talked to people. I knew that I wasn’t approachable but I didn’t know how to become more approachable. You could also say that I was greedy. I didn’t socialize because I wanted to focus on my academics more. In my pursuit of a higher grade, I lost all my friends and became miserable.
In fact, I still struggle with socializing today but the only difference now is that I don’t suffer from loneliness anymore. I am also certain that many of us in the audience have felt lonely before. We all know how it feels to be alone. Loneliness is like a fireman taking out a fire, in this case, the fire is what we love to do. My greed and desire for a higher grade took out my fire, replacing it with misery. Don’t let greed take out your fire.
Ladies and Gentlemen, this isn’t only a story about a lonely teenager. Greed is at the center of most of our world’s biggest problems like global warming, war. That is why I urge all of you today to rethink your perception of greed. Greed isn’t a good thing. Do you know what is? Being kind and caring about others. When you extend kindness, people tend to want to be in a relationship with you. Relationships are like your comfort food, when you feel sad they cheer you up. We all should love something other than ourselves. So, let us all build more relationships with others, let’s make someone else’s day better instead of focusing on ourselves. Source
Example #6 – Interesting ideas
Well, I feel I would change the world so that all minds could be connected in some sort of manner. End bias, and have truth be able to be taught without space or time interfering. Have no hunger in this world. Have everyone do what they enjoyed; as well as what is purposeful to all of mankind.
Have more land on Earth. Have no such thing as rare material. Have anything achievable by anyone if the right amount of effort is put in. Have no genetic, mental, physical diseases, sicknesses, or viruses. Have medical knowledge to restore lost/mangled limbs. Remove any joy from causing others to suffer (which some people find enjoyable which I find sickening). People live longer.
But this is the world I would want if I could change things around with more than just my ability.
This would end all violent conflicts because we would all share consciousness with each other allowing us to understand each other and we would grow as a whole society instead of individually based on communication abilities and bias. Also, no hunger/diseases would end suffering. Removing joy from causing others to suffer would stop serial killers/murderers/rapists/bullies/etc. This is basically what I would want without changing the human race and physics too much.
Why limit yourself to one issue when there are so many? The trouble is that major world issues are caused by other issues, and these issues are themselves caused by others. Once you remove the aid you give, the problem returns to its former level, assuming your individual effort made a significant difference in the first place. All the many issues we face whilst caused by like issues are all a byproduct of the nature of humankind. I have to wonder what people are thinking when they claim religion is the problem unless they are specifically talking about corruption in the Roman Catholic Church.
We don’t live in a Godly World if anything, we live in a PC world where everyone is supposed to be able to express views and opinions no matter how crazy, but, the result is a world where we are always looking over our shoulder or biting our tongue in case we offend someone else’s opinions and all the while, the rich get richer, the poor get poorer and the overall quality of life of the World continues to diminish, despite so-called advancements in knowledge.
I’ll tell you right now if Christ came here and performed divine miracles, everyone, believers of all faiths and non-believers or the unsure, would immediately stop worrying about money, or happiness, and where the planet or their life was going, and join each other in harmony. It would truly be Heaven on Earth.
Make every country respect other countries’ boundaries. things like WW2, both Hitler’s part in it and that of the Japanese, would never happen again. If someone wanted to annex a country or make them part of a larger empire or something it would be by treaty, not by force, and if the country you sought to annex didn’t want to, you’d leave them alone.
War, in addition, would be the last resort, not just something you did if the leader of a country threatened your daddy. On the other hand, I would also make people not be able to even THINK of abortion unless there was a life or health issue involved. Life is precious at every stage.
- I’d get rid of our biological urges towards attractive people. At this point in time, I think we are suffering and confused because our intellectual minds may be attracted to one person, while our bodies are attracted to another. It aggravates me because there are some great guys in my life that I’m sure I could be really happy with, that I’m just not attracted to….while there are plenty of attractive jerks that I am attracted to. If I could get rid of this need for physical attraction then I think we’d all be better off…we’d focus on what’s important, the mind, heart, and spirit. The fact that we still pay so much attention to bodies is almost primitive and animalistic.
- I’d make college free. BUT, I’d make it where about only the top 20 or 30 percent of high school students could attend. Right now, the college has become like the 13th grade instead of an institution for higher learning. You’re practically required to go to college now to have a decent life, which isn’t how it used to be. Ultimately it’s causing lots of people who really aren’t “college material” to go to college, degrading the value of the university. It should be about wanting to get an education and learn, rather than wanting to get a slip of paper that will make people hire you and give you money.
- Changes to laws…I’d get rid of any and all “church laws”. For example, we supposedly live in modern society and yet I can’t buy alcohol on Sundays. What b*llshit is this?
- I’d make it where it’s easier to secede from your country. There’s something horribly wrong with a human being not being able to live ANYWHERE where they aren’t under the rule of some government.
- I’d get rid of any laws prohibiting public nudity.
- I’d require that all farms start raising their crops and animals according to organic standards…no hormones, no preservatives, no fertilizer, just-food. There wouldn’t be any food around that wasn’t prepared with organic standards.
- Nationwide ban on smoking in any public place. The air’s not your buddy, don’t stink it up for the rest of us.
- Companies couldn’t pollute the air, the land, or our waterways. This would be really hard to accomplish, and more than likely not even possible, but damn I’d try!!
- No more affirmative action. Employers and schools wouldn’t even be allowed to have boxes for gender or race on their applications. You must be chosen solely for your merit.
That is all I can think of right now but I might add more later.
Include in the essay WHAT you would do, HOW you would go around to doing it, WHO it’s going to help or affect, WHEN you would do what, WHERE your efforts would be more concentrated on, and most importantly, WHY – give reasons for every one of your actions.
