I chose Audrey Hepburn because I admire her dearly, and she inspires me in many ways. Audrey Hepburn went through a lot of tragedies throughout her life. One of which is that when she was a young girl he mother and father split up and she didn’t take it very well. Yet even so she didn’t let the grief she suffered hold her back. She overcame and achieved a lot during her life, and I would like to be just like Audrey Hepburn. Audrey Hepburn is a famous actress. She has starred in Roman Holiday (1953), Sabrina (1954), Funny Face (1957), Love in the Afternoon (1957), Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961), Charade (1963), My Fair Lady (1964), Paris When It Sizzles (1964), How to Steal a Million (1966), Two for the Road (1967), Robin and Marian (1976) and Always (1989), Also many more.
Hepburn’s career as an actress had a tremendous start when she won an academy award for her film debut in the movie Roman holiday. Ironically, she had no acting experience at the time and was tutored extensively by the movie’s director William Wyler. In later years, Audrey Hepburn would say that she learned everything she knew about acting from this talented director. Throughout her career, she received four more Academy Award nominations for her roles in Sabrina, The Nuns Story, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Wait until Dark. Hepburn had a notorious film career and became known for her grace and beauty. It was her love of dance that ultimately led Hepburn to her film career. After the war, her family relocated to Amsterdam, where the actress continued to train as a ballerina and modelled for extra money. The same year, she and her mother moved to London, where Hepburn had been given a dance school scholarship. Continuing to model on the side, she decided that because of her height and lack of training, her future was not in dance.
What I admire about Audrey Hepburn is that when she wasn’t able to become a Ballerina she didn’t lose hope, and she went into acting, which led her into a great career. She was a phenomenal actress and she wasn’t self-centred and pompous about it at all. Everyone loved her because of her elegance and charm. I found out very interesting facts about Audrey Hepburn as I was doing my research but one thing that stood out for me. Was that when Audrey Hepburn was a young girl with her very own eyes she witnessed her uncle and her mother’s cousin, shot in the street, by Germans. She also saw a train loud of Jewish children herded into cattle trucks for deportation. After her seeing these horrible things as a child, she later in her life became a part of UNICEF children’s charity. Audrey Hepburn was a graceful, beautiful woman, whom I admire exceedingly. She has been through some bad and good stuff during her life, but yet she had succeeded in her life a lot. For this reason, I would like to be just like Audrey Hepburn, My Hero!
