Classification Essay About Friends
Example #1
Anyone who has spent time with friends will notice that each one has a special personality all of their own. Friends have different traits that make up their personalities. A sense of humor, great advice, and honesty are all things that come to mind when you think about a friend. Friends are important to have because they are a backbone when things get tough in life and are always there to love and support. However, anyone who has spent time with friends will notice that each one has a special personality with respect to their honesty, loyalty, and care. There are three major types of friends, which are acquaintances, social friends, and best friends. The first type of friend is simply an acquaintance. This means that you basically only know their name. Not even remembering what they look like. You usually meet these type of friends in school, at work, on the bus, in the gym, or anywhere else you might be.
You normally would not mind having a cup of coffee with them, but if anything else came up, you would have no problem parting company. We see many people in the work. Sometimes we speak to them compulsorily and we don’t remember even their face. While we are on the bus, we come across some people who get on the bus regulars like us. Therefore we call them an acquaintance. Someone, you know socially or through the business world would be called an acquaintance if you don’t know them well personally. An acquaintance can remain a personal or business contact for you or can become a friend at some point. It depends on the relationship and the people involved. You may have some acquaintances you see over and over throughout your life that you never really get to know. However, they are still good people to know because they can connect you to potential friends. This group includes people who one talks to out of awkward obligation. Observed in their natural habitats of classrooms, bus seats, and the general public acquaintances are random encounters. A person often speaks to this species out of necessity, loneliness, or boredom.

For instance, when a person is alone in the bus station with nothing to do, they see a person reading a magazine and decide to make a conversation about that magazine. This is not done to bother the other person, and usually, both people don’t care but it’s a tool to make a person feel less alone. This set of friends does not evolve past a random encounter or conversation. Acquaintances include people who one exploits for their own personal gain. The second category of friends is a social partner. One you often meet at social occasions, or one who may accompany you to social gatherings, but with whom you don’t have a personal relationship. This is because they are closer than acquaintances, but nowhere near as close as a true friend. Social partners are usually acquaintances who evolve into “guest friends” through increased extracurricular activities. You know their name, a little of what they like or dislike, a little of their family history, and usually have several things in common. As the saying goes, “Birds of a feather flock together,” so too the social partners have to have several things in common with you.
No one is going to want to spend any more time than necessary with somebody completely opposite and aggravating to him. Social friends are closer than acquaintances, but nowhere near as close as a true friend. You know much more about each other than you would as mere acquaintances but much less than if you were personal friends. The last type of friend is the “best friend.” Normally, you know them the longest and you probably grew up together as children. He or she knows everything about you. Likewise, you know everything about him or her. They are basically like family. You would have no problem if they spent the night at your house. You know each other’s habits and can always tell when there is something wrong. You would not hesitate to share your deepest feelings or thoughts with them. A best friend has no problem correcting you when you are wrong or being stern with you when you are out of line.
They will see you through when others see that you are through. He/she will always be there for you. They are not perfect, but at least they will always look out for you and never do anything intentionally to hurt you. They are there to find national solutions to the many unexpected problems that life presents for us. “Best friends” are very important to us, because we share with them something which are secrets things that have not to be known by anybody. They are very generous people. For example, when we have not enough money, they lend us. When we fall into bad condition, they cheer us up. They support us. In conclusion; we always meet people and classify them in terms of their personalities. There are three types of friends. The first type of friend is simply an acquaintance. The second is the social friend. Finally the best friends. We will always encounter those types of friends in our lives. Every friend has a different type of character. Some friends are helpful while some friends are caring. No matter what traits they have as long as we interest and comfort each other. Friends can either make or break us.
Example #2
Friend Classification Having friends is an important part of life. It is friends that I share everything with. There are many types of people in the world and many types of friends. Knowing that it becomes all the more important to select the right people so that I might have the correct friends. A friend is somebody that will always be there for me. I always have a great bunch of friends but sometimes some people are more of a friend than others. I have my general acquaintance friends and then I have my best friends. What is the difference between a best friend and a general acquaintances friend? A best friend is a person that I know well and regard with affection and trust. My best friend knows me better than anyone, definitely better than my parents, and sometimes better than I know myself. For best friends, there is a feeling, and emotion for every event shared together: a feeling of love, a feeling of happiness and a feeling of remorse; a feeling of laughter, and a feeling of tears. My best friend has seen me at my worst and helped me be my best.
My best friend will always tell me that I look good, even on my worst days. My best friend is someone with whom I’ve shared my most intimate secrets and laughed the loudest. I’ve already made plans to name one of my children after her, in hopes that my next of one is a girl. And although we may grow apart and not talk to each other as much, it is safe to say that true best friend are the ones you have for life. My best friend always understands me or at least pretends to, and she is always willing to listen to my opinions and never criticizes them, even if they are a little weird. We have a secret language with special codes that no one would ever be able to crack. She was with me and held my hand when I got my belly button pierced and she was there with me when my dad threatened to rip it out. She comes to all my family functions like Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter and makes fun of my strange great-aunts with me. When we go through these emotions together, we learn and grow from them and become closer than ever before. A general acquaintance friend is just simply an acquaintance.
This means that I basically only know their name. I might not even remember what they look like if I go away for a short vacation. Usually, I meet these types of friends in school, at work, on the bus, in the gym, or anywhere else I might be. I normally would not mind having a cup of coffee with them, but if anything else came up, I usually would have no problem parting company. I normally don’t miss them when they are elsewhere. It is also this type of friends who give me the most amount of aggravation. Since most of the time I am placed in a position where you have to act friendly, such as school or work, I would not normally tell an acquaintance when he or she is doing something aggravating, such as tapping the fingers on a table or chewing gum loudly. This is why I call them “pest friends.
A general acquaintance friend is not someone I would ever really consider hanging out with a lot of getting to know more than I have to. Human survival is based on some kind of friendship. From the highest authority to the lowest bums living on the streets all of us have experienced in some way or the other one of these different kinds of friendships. I take this friendship for granted because it is something that exists naturally in society and I never really have to actually go out into the world looking for a friend. My personal realization came when I had to start life in a new city, in different surroundings. The feeling of loneliness I had was enough to drive a person to near madness. So in conclusion what I’m trying to say is that we cannot thrive successfully as individuals or as a society without having some form of friendship with other individuals rather it be general acquaintance friends or best friends.
Example #3
Through my experiences, I have come to realize that there are basically three types of friends a person can have. There are friends that I call “sometimes” friends, these people appear to be your friend but only when you are face to face with them, and when you are not around them they act more like a foe. They are often referred to as two-faced or a backstabber. These types of friends are not very reliable nor should they be trusted. Another type of friend a person can have, and the best kind is a “true” friend. A true friend is someone you know you can always trust and rely on no matter what. The last type of friend is the “acquaintance”. These people are not very reliable and should not be trusted with things of a personal matter or with things of great importance. You should confront this person and let them know how you are feeling about the way they are treating you. Let them know how things look from your point of view. If they are a true friend they will try to correct their ways and start acting like a real friend would act.
If they do not change their ways and they continue to take advantage of you, it would probably be smart of you not to associate with them anymore. An “acquaintance” friend is someone who you will usually encounter every so often for business needs or for some other reason. You most likely are on good terms with these people, but they are not considered close friends whom you would talk to about personal problems. They could be someone at the grocery store where you shop, the place where you work, the barbershop or salon where you get your hair cut, or maybe the convenience store where you get gas at. They usually seem as if they are good people and friendly. The acquaintance friend has the potential to become somewhat closer over time if there are enough meetings between the two of you. Most friends that people say are good friends were just an acquaintance at some point in time but became closer as they got to know each other better.
Example #4
There are many types of people in the world and many types of friends. Knowing that it becomes all the more important to select the right people so that one might have the correct friends, but which types of friends are required? There are ten different types of friends that everybody should have, each fitting into one of three categories: the occasional friends, the benefactors, and the greats. The first category, the occasional friends, encompasses three friend types. The first one is the grenade. This type of friend is usually annoying and tough to be around but they serve a critical purpose. They make you look better by comparison. Slightly better than the grenade is the jerk with the heart of gold.
They are the people who help you get through the school or workday that you never really see anywhere else. As the name suggests, occasional friends are not the type of people one would hang out with every day. There are only two types of friends in the benefactors. They are the giver and the loan friend. The hard to find giver is the type of friend who is always willing to pay the bill and brings presents just for the sake of bringing presents. They are indeed rarer and should not be taken for granted if found. The second kind, the loan friend, is that one friend who has everything that you would want to buy and is usually willing to lend you whatever you ask for. Benefactor friends are named for the direct benefits they provide over you.
The final, and most important, group is the greats. They consist of the most essential of all friends imaginable. The best friend is first amongst this group. They know you inside and out and are the type of person you can easily spend the whole day with every day. Secondly is man’s best friend; the pet that will love you unconditionally in exchange for a little attention and a freshwater dish every now and then. The third is the significant other. The significant other is known by many names, most frequently called husband or wife. They are the ones you share your life with. The final type of friend in the greats is Alex Schnob. Handsome, witty, charming… what more could you want in a friend?
Example #5
In our lifetime, each of us has various relationships that link us with society. In some of those with whom we acquaintance we call them friends. Also, we ever stop classifying friends into many types. For me, I classify friends on how I know them and how they know me. Therefore, in my life, there are three types of friends: general friends, social friends, and best friends. The general friends, the first type of friends, mean certain people we meet even just one time at certain places by accident. Those whom we often know at public places such as a train, a traveling, a bus stop or at school. We often see them and make small conversations to make friends, to kill the time, or to reduce the boring atmosphere that we are in. However, we seldom remember their names, even their faces after that or a long time no see them again. I remember once I was on the train from Ha Noi to Ho Chi Minh city, I made friends with a girl.
During the trip, she and I always went together, ate together, sat in the same chair, and chatted a lot. And yet, we did not keep in touch, even I could not remember her name but just her face in my memory. That means with general friends we can easily say hello and soon say goodbye without knowing their name or even their faces anymore. The second type of friend is social friends. Those are important people in our daily life and we can not lack them. Although they know us very much, they know our families, our other friends, some of our relationships, they can still help us, encourage us. Moreover, we can feel their love after a long time working together as well as keeping in touch with them. The emotion with social friends and the distance between them are much closer than those between the general friends. For example, with friends in class, at school, at workplaces, we work with them and understand together, sympathize in the jobs also understand partly characters of each other.
Nevertheless, we can not share our secrets, our personalities with them, we just share something as we are possible because we only know them through jobs, studying. In a word, social friends play important role in our life. We link with them because of how often we meet and work with them so that still exits a certain distance. Last, but not least, in spite of a small number, best friends are the most important. They stand by us whatever we are, whenever we need. We can easily confine with them our secrets and we find it comfortable, warm, safe to lean on their shoulders and release our tension. Also, their love for us is nonconditional. Best friends who easily sympathize us on almost all situations and never judge us, criticize us.
For example, we can complain about a social friend at school with our best friends without worrying about how they are thinking or how they judge. In short, best friends are closest in comparison with the other two types of friends, which we always find warm, safe forward best friends. Inclusion, whatever we classify as friends, friends in our lifetime are actually necessary and important. With the general friends, we just need to make smile to impress on their minds although they will forget us, with the social friends, we get on well with them, appreciate and respect them to keep on the nice relationship and we last long friendship between best friends by our faithfulness and our honesty. That will help us have good friends and beautiful friendships.
